Waihī Beach main beach - dogs prohibited 9am-7pm from 17 December to 7 February (inclusive); off-leash under control at all other times. A year-round dog zone applies at the Bowentown end, between a line 100 m south of Albacore Avenue and Plom Road (Western Bay of Plenty District Council Dog Control Policy 2016).
