Rule details
Dogs are prohibited to protect wildlife, except on formed walking tracks, where dogs must be on a leash. This includes the beach area from the Waimakariri River mouth to a point 800 metres north of Heyders Road beach access area. Dogs are prohibited from marked horse tracks.
